Street & Urban
Life happens in passing – on streets, in squares, in cafés. Small gestures, glances and encounters give rise to the stories that street photography brings to life. It shows the real and the unplanned, moments that exist for just an instant and then disappear.
I discovered this genre late in life, but it immediately fascinated me. Street photography offers endless opportunities to be creative and capture life in all its facets.
My territory is mainly in the Ruhr area – an endless source of motifs between industry, city life and humanity. But cities such as Maastricht, Arnhem, Düsseldorf and Cologne also offer new perspectives and stories time and again.
Street photography also accompanies me on my travels. It can often be done quite casually – in passing, spontaneously, in the midst of life. This results in images that thrive on movement, chance and authenticity.
